Repair Process

Parts on aircraft. At S & T Aircraft, we understand that not every component issue requires a full overhaul. In many cases, a targeted repair is all that’s needed to get your part back in service—saving you both time and money. While some components must be overhauled due to their condition or regulatory requirements, many can be repaired effectively and safely. That’s why we proudly offer repair services as a practical alternative, and you can trust that we’ll never recommend an overhaul unless it’s truly necessary.

Our repair process mirrors our overhaul procedures in many ways, but with important differences based on the nature of the issue and the type of component—whether it’s electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic.

For fluid-operated components, the process begins with a complete teardown and a full fluid flush to prevent contamination of our precision test equipment. Electrical units receive a detailed preliminary inspection to identify damaged or faulty parts before testing begins. Mechanical components, depending on the complexity, are often tested right away to assess performance and isolate any issues.

After identifying the necessary repairs, the unit is moved to the main shop floor where the work is performed with care and precision.

Following repair, your component is reassembled, thoroughly tested to ensure functionality and reliability, and then carefully packaged and shipped back to you—ready for service.

At S & T Aircraft, we’re committed to doing what’s right for you and your aircraft—because integrity, efficiency, and safety are at the heart of everything we do.
